well you think you know somebody til it hits the ground and you think you know where you're gonna go til you're turned around you never loved me, i was sure of it you just loved to fill the void with my head down and my eyes so closed i was never more sure but with my head down and my eyes so closed how could i ever know you want to love somebody so you're justified but you refuse to take a step on the other side you said i never loved you, you were sure of it that i just loved to fill the void with your head down and your eyes so closed you were never more sure but with your head down and your eyes so closed how could you ever know with my head down and my eyes so closed i was never more sure but with my head down and my eyes so closed how could i ever know

there is a rhythm there is a rhythm we used to know we used to know blood of my past i know what you did you lost it, you lost it blood of my past i know why you did you only had to survive there is a rhythm there is a rhythm we used to know we used to know blood of my past i know what you did i forgive you, forgive you blood of my past i know why you did but now i need the rhythm to survive there is a rhythm there is a rhythm we used to know we used to know she spins and spins in perfect time weaving her web to the rhythm she finds oh they all know something they all know something we don't there is a rhythm there is a rhythm we used to know we used to know

there will be harder conversations we never planned we'd have to share there will be things i do that hurt you there will be times i am aware and the hardest part of starting is not knowing where you'll end how am i supposed to say this to make you understand if you know you can just let it go then don't pick it up and if you know that you can't give it all then don't tie it up now i've spent one too many evenings hoping for a better day and i know if i don't do something nothings gonna change the hardest part of holdin on is opening your hands how am i supposed to say this to make you understand if you know you can just let it go then don't pick it up and if you know that you can't give it all then don't tie it up

pluck our love from the garden before the winter has started pluck our love from the garden before the sun has departed we'll harvest our best weeds eat sour fruit from young trees would we make it through the snow? we'll never have to know we'll never have to know pluck our love from the garden before the winter has started pluck our love from the garden before the sun has departed i tremble at what i see your brambles keeping you from me no one comes near your throne you'll never have to grow no you'll never have to grow pluck our love from the garden before the winter has started pluck our love from the garden before the sun has departed

i remember this one time i felt in my skin and i looked in your eyes i could barely keep it in i gave you all my love and affection for the first time in a long time where the hell have i been oh and how trivial i used to ask how can i get what i want? now i want what i have now i want what i have i've seen the future and the past now i want what i have i remember this one one time we stayed out til dusk we watched the flocks fly those ungraceful doves you took my hand, i i could feel it from above for the first time in a long time i could feel what this was oh and how trivial i used to ask how can i get what i want? now i want what i have now i want what i have i've seen the future and the past now i want what i have

about

about every four years I get the notion to write/release more songs. 2015 was my first 'song a week' era, then again in 2019. I am due for another one, so here goes nothin!

*this year, some of the songs were written years ago but never recorded/shared online.
